The well-known digital drawing and painting software is 25 years old and comes in the new version Corel Painter 2020 for Mac and Windows, the first to take advantage of GPU graphics acceleration for brushes, as well as introducing numerous innovations regarding instruments and interface. We recall that in recent months the return of CorelDraw Graphic Suite 2019 (here our review) with an event in Milan to which Macitynet was present was announced.

Improvements also affect the brush sector, now with more distinguishable previews for different styles, but also more compact to leave more room for work. In the selection of colors, users now have the new minus Temporal Color Wheel and the six Color Harmonies that can be saved as ready-to-use sets. To take advantage of graphics acceleration via GPU, Corel has also introduced two new categories of Fast brushes with 26 new brushes, plus the chance to experiment with new styles with Expressive brushes available in the Watercolor and Digital Watercolor categories.
